Post Rajinikanth’s Jailer Announcement, Sivakarthikeyan’s Maaveeran Gets A New Release Date

Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming line-up teems with exciting projects — Maaveeran with Award-winning director Madonne Ashwin, sci-fi entertainer Ayalaan and SK21 which is bankrolled by Kamal Haasan. Both Maaveeran and Ayalaan are in their post-production stages. While the former was initially slated to be released on August 11, the makers have announced a new release date. The film is simultaneously shot in both Tamil and Telugu, and is titled Mahaveerudu in Telugu. 

The makers of Rajinikanth’s Jailer dropped a glimpse video on Thursday, announcing that the film will release on August 10. Maaveeran was expected to clash with the Nelson directorial, but its release has now been preponed to July 14. Announcing the new release date, the makers wrote, “Our #Maaveeran/#Mahaveerudu, will see you in theaters worldwide - much SOONER & BIGGER, on JULY 14th 🥳” 

The action entertainer co-stars Aditi Shankar, Yogi Babu Mysskin, Sunil, Saritha and others. Bankrolled by Shanthi Talkies, the film has been edited by Philomin Raj, and has music by Bharath Shankar.
