I will not have my coffee, unless the film is sorted out: Janhvi Kapoor to Bawaal director Nitesh Tiwari

Janhavi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan starrer Bawaal is set to release on Prime Video later this month. In an interview with Film Companion, Kapoor revealed that there were scheduling conflicts on her end, so the shooting kept getting delayed. Kapoor stopped drinking coffee in her quest to manifest her involvement in the film.

Bawaal director Nitesh Tiwari revealed this heartwarming detail in an interview with Film Companion, he said, “I still remember she had come to meet me in my office and I offered her coffee and she said nahi sir coffee nahi pi rahi hun mein (I'm not having coffee). I said why what happened? She said nahi sir vo mannat maangi hai ki film jab tak sort out nahi ho jaati tab tak mein coffee nahi piyungi (I have asked a wish unless the film isn't sorted out I will not have my coffee)."

"I found that very enduring and was hoping that things will fall in place,” he added. Eventually, things did work out and both the actor and director are glad that they did.

Bawaal releases exclusively on Prime Video on July 21.
