Shanaya Kapoor to make her streaming debut with Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 3

Shanaya Kapoor is a star kid in waiting. After securing a role in the film Vrushabha where she will work with the immensely talented Malayalam actor Mohanlal, Kapoor is gearing up to make her OTT debut as well. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Karan Johar is
turning his popular SOTY franchise into a web series that will stream on Disney+Hotstar. Continuing with his tradition of launching new faces via the franchise, Johar will reportedly give Kapoor her OTT debut with SOTY 3. 

Sources say that Dharma’s digital arm,  Dharmatic Entertainment has begun work on the third installment of this popular franchise. The first film in the SOTY franchise was released in 2012 and launched the careers of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. SOTY 2 (2019) directed by Puneet Malhotra, saw Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria making their debut opposite Tiger Shroff.
