Dhanush to play Music Maestro Isaignani Illaiyaraaja in his biopic

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Dhanush is all set to play music maestro Isaignani Illaiyaraaja in his upcoming biopic film. Sources say that the film will go on floors in 2024 and will release in 2025. This will be Dhanush’s first biopic film essaying the role of a legendary music director.

Ilaiyaraaja, aged 80, has a record of composing over 7,000 songs in over 1,000 films and also performing in over 20,000 concerts. He began his career in 1976 and has composed songs not just for Tamil movies but also for Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi films and also one English movie.

Dhanush will next be seen in Captain Miller, he also has a film with Raanjhana (2013) director Aanand L Rai titled, Tere Ishk Mein, D51 with Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna are lined up for release.
