As per a report in Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar will collaborate with Heyy Babyy (2007) co-star Fardeen Khan in a film directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film is tentatively titled Khel Khel Mein. A source close to the development told the portal, "It's an ensemble-cast project centred around long-time friends who gather for dinner and decide to play a game that unveils their secrets, resulting in hilarious chaos. Fardeen portrays one of Akshay's friends in this film and is thrilled to explore comedy on screen again after a 13-year hiatus. This collaboration also marks an exciting reunion for Mudassar Aziz, who teams up with Fardeen again after their first collaboration, Dulha Mil Gaya."
The report also says that Taapsee Pannu and Vaani Kapoor may be playing the leading ladies in the film, which will be produced by Bhushan Kumar and Ashwin Varde. Their casting however has not yet been confirmed. The source also shared that the film's pre-production work has begun and that filming for the movie can begin as early as October.
Khan, who has been away from the arc lights since 2010, will be making his comeback with Sanjay Gupta's production Visfot, a remake of the Venezuelan crime thriller Rock, Paper, Scissors (2012). The actor will be seen alongside Riteish Deshmukh, Priya Bapat, and Krystal D'Souza in the Kookie Gulati directorial. As per some reports, Khan is also a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus, Heeramandi. However, his casting in this Netflix series has not yet been confirmed. Khan's last film was Dulha Mil Gaya (2010).
