After reports that Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, and Jacqueline Fernandez were joining the cast of Akshay Kumar’s Welcome to the Jungle (Welcome 3), sources say that Raveena Tandon has also been roped into the movie. Kumar and Tandon, who worked together in several films in the 1990s, will share screen space after almost two decades.

As per a report in News18 Showsha, Tandon met the film’s director Ahmed Khan on the sets of a dance reality show in 2019 where the two started discussing a collaboration. A source told the publication, “Ahmed was keen on working with her and upon conveying the same, the Aranyak (2021) star also expressed her excitement about collaborating with him. He went on to approach Raveena with a script, which has now taken the shape of Welcome To The Jungle.”

The source also shared that Tandon and Kumar will be paired opposite each other in the movie and shooting can begin as early as October this year. “Yes, the shoot is most likely to begin in the first week of October in Mumbai. The latter schedules might take place in other parts, including overseas,” the source added.

Tandon and Kumar have worked together in films like Mohra (1994), Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (1996), Barood (1998), Keemat (1998) and Police Force: An Inside Story (2004).
