Filmmakers Adda 2022: Prithviraj confirms Lucifer Sequel to go on Floors in 2023

At the Filmmakers Adda 2022, actor-director-producer Prithviraj Sukumaran confirmed making a sequel to his 2019 Malayalam directorial debut film Lucifer starring Mohanlal in the lead.

“The immediate sequel that I hope to start sometime in the mid of next year is my debut directorial film Lucifer. In fact, my writer Mr. Murali Gopy and I first thought of the material for Lucifer, we thought of creating 12 series episodes but at that time, series and that too in Malayalam was unheard of, so we thought let's release the first part and keep quiet if this does well then will talk about the next part, fortunately, it did well so that's the one I would be shooting in terms of sequels next.”

Lucifer was a huge success. Directed by Sukuraman and written by Murali Gopy, the film also stars Vivek Oberoi and Manju Warrier in pivotal roles.
