Double XL: Know how Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan was Brought in for Cameo

Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan will soon make his debut with a special cameo in the upcoming film Double XL starring Huma Qureshi and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. According to Times of India report, director Satramm Ramani spoke about casting Dhawan for the role, he revealed that he wanted to cast someone who could appeal to the desi as well as the elite class, although, he knew Dhawan was a perfect fit for the role but was unsure if Dhawan would agree to do the part.

Eventually, actor-turned-producer Saqeb Salem approached Dhawan with the role and he readily agreed to do it. The report further states that Dhawan was quite excited about the film’s concept and insisted that the film must be made.

The trailer of Double XL opens with Dhawan’s grant entry in a chauffeur-driven. Double XL also stars Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Ragavendra in pivotal roles, the film releases on November 4.
