Pa Ranjith Unveils New Thangalaan Poster, Video Glimpse to be Out on Vikram’s Birthday

Chiyaan Vikram, who will reprise the role of the mighty Aditya Karikalan in the second part of Ponniyin Selevan, is busy shooting for Thangalaan, a period film. While it is reported that 80% of the filming is completed, the makers have now unveiled a new character poster of Vikram and announced the release date of the first glimpse video. 

Helmed by Pa Ranjith, the film is set in the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) and traces the events tha unfold between 1870 and 1900. The teasers and posters show Vikram in a rugged avatar. Unveiling the new poster, Pa Ranjith wrote, “A small glimpse of flesh from @Thangalaan on #ChiyaanVikram's birthday 17th April, 2023.” 

Bankrolled by Studio Green and Neelam Productions, the film co-stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy and Malavika Mohanan in important roles. Co-written by Tamil Prabha, Selva RK has handled the editing and GV Prakash Kumar has scored the music.
