Ponniyin Selvan 2 Will Begin In Climax Mode: Jayam Ravi

Fans of the magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 1 are awaiting its sequel, which will conclude the two-part film series. Speaking at the audio launch event of Ponniyin Selvan 2, Jayam Ravi, who essays the titular character Ponniyin Selvan (aka Arulmozhi Varman), said that the second part will be more emotional and thrilling. 

“When we watched the first part, our favourite characters were revealed one after another and the story was built. In part 2, the very opening scene will be emotional. I can’t say a lot but the film will begin in climax mode. It is a tight film, with emotions, grandeur and thrill. We have a lot in store for you,” the actor gleefully said and added that the team is expecting the sequel to be a bigger success than the first part. 

Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s five-part novel of the same name. The AR Rahman musical co-stars Vikram, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai and Karthi.
