Streaming platforms are notorious for their lack of transparency, allowing them to quote numbers that are tough to verify. Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, however, has been tracking viewership figures of the top releases across major platforms.

Here’s a list of the most-viewed shows and movies from the Indian streaming space between November 13th and November 19th, 2023. The numbers are estimates based within India, and only include Hindi streaming releases. 

1. Koffee with Karan S8 - Disney+ Hotstar

Views (million): 7.9

Karan Johar, aka the internet’s favourite Koffee Konnoisseur, is back with Season 8 of his contentious talk show. Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan were the latest guests of the season.

2. Temptation Island India - JioCinema

Views (million): 7

In the Indian version of the popular American reality dating show, couples test the strength of their relationship by surrounding themselves with attractive strangers on a tropical island.

3. Apurva - Disney+ Hotstar

Views (million): 4.1

This intense thriller is the story of an ordinary girl who will do anything to survive. Lead actor Tara Sutaria shared on her Instagram: “If fierce had a name, it would be Apurva.”

4. Pippa - Amazon Prime Video

Views (million): 3.9

A biographical war drama based on the life of Captain Balram Singh Mehta who fought on the eastern front during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. 

5. MasterChef India - SonyLIV

Views (million): 3.3

Chefs Vikas Khanna, Pooja Dhingra and Ranveer Brar make up the panel of judges in this cooking competition that platforms highly skilled home cooks from across the nation.
