Yaara Trailer Talk: Vidyut Jammwal And Amit Sadh Play Boyhood Buddies Tested By Adulthood

Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, this film premieres on Zee5 on July 30th

The Chaukdi Gang, formed the same year as Sholay's release, is fond of finding itself on the other side of the law. The gang, embedded in a North Indian town, includes Bhagun, Mitwa, Rizwan, and Bahadur, but perhaps their names are irrelevant. The trailer outlines that they wanted to be known as friends, not as individuals. There's a Qateel Shifai quote that cuts the trailer, "Dagha kare voh kisi se, toh sharm aaye mujhe." One's hunger, spurs the other.

But this was before time struck, and twenty years on, they aren't as thick as they had imagined. Vidyut Jammwal, Amit Sadh, Vijay Varma, and Kenny Basumatary play the friends. Shruti Haasan and Jammwal are paired together- flirtation, fixation, then marriage. But it is crime and reconciliation that seems to be the fixation here.

A remake of French crime drama Gang Story, this film is produced by Sunil Kheterpal and Tigmanshu Dhulia, and directed by Dhulia himself. It premieres on Zee5 on July 30th, celebrated as Friendship Day.
