Mohandas Trailer Talk: In A Story Of A Lion And Its Prey, Is The Lion Hero Or The Villain?

In this eerie teaser, Vishnu Vishal narrates the story of a psycho who is on a hunt

After the successful release of FIR, Vishnu Vishal will next be seen in a psychotic thriller Mohandas. It has been almost three and a half years since the release of Ratsasan but its impact on thriller films has been huge. When you watch the teaser of Mohandas, you are reminded of Ratsasan. It is purely because the film has the same protagonist and takes on the thriller genre.

The teaser opens with a quote said by Mahatma Gandhi – The future depends on what you do today. Throughout the teaser, there is a sense of the psychotic vibe radiating from Vishnu Vishal. What makes it more interesting is the different elements hidden in it. The film does not come across as another thrilling cat and mouse chase but makes you wonder if Mohandas (Vishnu Vishal) is the hero or the villain.

The teaser takes a metaphorical take on the film and explains it as a fable. Mohandas repeatedly asks himself if he wants to be a lion, tiger, panther or fox, before settling for the lion. He also tells the audience that if you feel pity for the deer, the lion becomes the villain but if you want the lion to hunt its prey, it becomes the hero.

Mohandas calls himself a lion who has been hungry for a long time, waiting to hunt its prey. Different lines in the teaser also hint that Mohandas could be someone who has a daunting past and is waiting to take revenge. At the beginning of the teaser, Vishnu Vishal narrates that 'a forest used to exist in what now is a city'. Similarly, in one of the scenes, he will be staring at a poster that says 'A man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real Man'.

You can watch the teaser here:

A hungry lion is waiting for its prey, and when a deer crosses its life, what happens? Also, the film has a tagline that reads 'Maybe a true story'. Vishnu Vishal has played a character who undergoes different emotions, and if the film works out, it could be his next big break.

Mohandas is directed by Murali Karthick. Apart from Vishnu Vishal, the film features Indrajith Sukumaran, Aishwarya Rajesh, Karunakaran, Lallu, Prakash Raghavan and Shariq Hassan. The music is done by Sundaramurthy KS. The film is produced by Shubhra, Aryan Ramesh and Vishnu Vishal under the banner VV Studioz.
