Glimpse Of Radhe Shyam: Prabhas Speaks Italian, Pooja Hedge Asks Him If He’s Romeo And More

On Valentine's Day, at exactly 9:18 AM, the team of Radhe Shyam released the a short video titled a 'Glimpse Of Radhe Shyam'.  In a short 53-second video, we get a fair idea of the grandeur of the film. Set in a train station, possibly in Italy, we see Prabhas shouting in Italian as several women turn around to see what he's saying.

A shot later, in a closeup, Pooja Hedge's character asks him if he thinks of himself to be like Romeo, to which he replies, "I'm not that type. Romeo is someone who died for love."

We see a steam engine in the background and with no markers of present day technology, Radhe Shyam could be a period film as well, set in Italy. In the teaser, we notice that a lot of the background visuals have been computer generated and this could mean that it's going to get even better closer to the release.

In terms of expectations, we're looking at an epic love story made with the kind of budget and scale we only see in massive actions movies.

The teaser also adds that the film will release on July 30, 2021.

Ever since the film's first announcement poster was out, it was being dissected with fans suggesting that the film could be a love story with a time travel backdrop given the clock covered with flowers at its centre. Other fans, however, seem to think that the film will be another action film from their star.

Other actors in the film include Sachin Khedekar, Priyadarshi, Bhagyashree, Murli Sharma, Kunaal Roy Kapoor and more.

Uniquely, the film had announced two set of music directors for two regions. For the Hindi version, Mithoon and Manan Bhardwaj have been roped in. But for the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam versions, Justin Prabhakaran is the main composer.

Given the superstardom of Prabhas, one of India's few pan-Indian stars, the film will release in four languages—Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, who made the much-loved Jil, the film is being shot by Manoj Paramahamsa who shot classics like Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya.

The actor's previous film Saaho, made at a rumoured cost of more that Rs.300 crore, went on to become one of the year's highest grossers despite the middling to negative reviews it received.

A few months ago, when Pooja Hegde was asked her 'shy' co-star Prabhas in an interview, who she's working with for the first time for this film, she said, "I don't know what he is telling people, but we've had a blast shooting the film. With me, he's been very chilled out and comfortable. Also, this (Radhe Shyam) is a love story, it's not like a regular action flick. We have been shooting together from day one, so we did bond, so the chemistry is great on-screen. He's quite a goofy person, and I am pretty goofy too, so we had a blast shooting the film.

Radhe Shyam is one of three big ticket films Prabhas is presently working on. Apart from this, he's also got Adipurush, co-starring Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan being directed by Nag Ashwin of Mahanati fame. He's also recently announced Salaar, made by the same team that had made KGF.
