Ladki Trailer Talk: RGV’s Tribute to Enter The Dragon

Makers of Ram Gopal Varma's (RGV) latest, Ladki, Enter The Girl Dragon, starring Pooja Bhalekar, have released a trailer introducing the character. The trailer begins with the dialogue, "The water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." as the actor is training along the beach.

It goes on to show the girl being introduced to Bruce Lee's way of fighting and trains under a master in China. She is shown fighting men in multiple situations and one dialogue repeats over and over – "Aakhir hai toh ladki hi" (She's a woman, after all). The very next shot of that dialogue is a punch that lands on someone's face. The trailer suggests that martial arts in some way ruins the girl's life, she is back in India but situations arise where she then has to fight here as well. The trailer released in Hindi but the film will also release in Telugu, Tamil and Chinese.

Before this, RGV, over the last year, has released multiple films on his own streaming platform, RGV World. Some of them are Climax, Naked, Power Star and Thriller.

Ladki is shot by Malaharbhatt Joshi and edited by Kamal Ramadugu and Prabhu Deva. Ladki, is produced by Artsee Media and Chinese production house, Big People. The film is said to be RGV's tribute to the film Enter The Dragon starring Bruce Lee. Previously, he also made Sarkaar, a film that was a tribute to Francis Ford Coppola's Godfather.

Ladki will premiere on November 27 in China at Foshan Kung Fu Film Festival.
