Kushi Trailer Talk: Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Try To Figure Out Their Happily-Ever-After Post Marriage

With Kashmir's snowy mountains and chirpy colour tones, the trailer of the much-awaited romantic comedy Kushi promises an intricate portrayal of an intercultural love marriage. The Shiva Nirvana directorial stars Vijay Devarakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles.

Earlier, the Mani Ratnam special song 'Na Roja Nuvve' in this film paid hat tips to the love stories of the director. The trailer seems to follow the same pattern. Beginning with Devarakonda's Viplav referring to Roja as he sees the sprawling snowscapes of Kashmir, the plot of an inter-cultural marriage and the fights Devarakonda and Samantha have post the wedding reminds you of Ratnam's Bombay and Alaipayuthey. As the couple elope due to their parents’ refusal, the film explores how they argue and fight, while trying to make their marriage work and prove their parents wrong. The trailer also takes a dig at Devarakonda’s Arjun Reddy and the criticisms of misogyny it received.

Kushi is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar Y under the Mythrie Movie Makers banner. Hesham Abdul Wahab has composed the music while G Murali and Prawin Pudi have handled the cinematography and editing, respectively. The film also features Vennela Kishore, Murali Sharma, Rohini, Lakshmi, and Ali. It is all set to be released on September 1, 2023.
