God Father Teaser Talk: Megastar Chiranjeevi And Salman Khan Are Comrades In Action

Megastar Chiranjeevi's Godfather is the remake of the 2019 hit film Lucifer starring Mohanlal. The one-and-a-half-minute teaser of the Telugu film introduces audiences to the characters played by Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara and Salman Khan.

The whereabouts of Chiranjeevi (who goes by the moniker God Father) remains unknown for over 20 years, the teaser tells us. But within 6 years of his re-entry, he earns a lot of respect and grows popular in his town. Nayanthara comes across as someone who doesn't like his return. Similarly, the police and politicians are not a fan of his arrival as well and want him caught and murdered. But among the masses and gangs, he is the boss of the bosses. While the teaser does not reveal further details, the plot revolves around a ruling political party that is in search of its successor.

The teaser gives us glimpses of power-packed action sequences involving Chiranjeevi. Salman Khan, who is making his Telugu debut with the film, tells God Father in a sequence, "Don't forget that your younger brother is there for you." The brothers, who are also partners in crime, then join hands to attack villains.

While Chiranjeevi will be essaying the role of Mohanlal from the original, Salman Khan will take on Prithviraj Sukumaran's role and Nayanthara will essay the role played by Manju Warrier in the Lucifer. This action entertainer is slated to hit the screens on October 5.
