Karthi who plays Vandhiyathevan in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan I will be next seen in Sardar. "Once a spy, always a spy," a voiceover in the teaser tells us. Karthi plays a spy who has entered the Indian army confiscation vault, which holds all confidential information sourced by the Indian intelligence.

With name and nationality unknown, the police have eight different passports of the individual. Shockingly, they have arrested and interrogated him 600 times. But the talented spy has managed to speak a different language everytime, and has even manipulated the lie detector test.
