The trailer of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo begins with a kutti story in the voice of Thalapathy. A serial killer faces off with a competant police officer. But just before he can fire the bullet, the killer shoots him. "Now, the police officer's gun is in your hands. And you have a clean shot. What will you do?" asks Vijay's Leo Das in the voiceover, as the trailer cuts to shots of mayhem in Himachal Pradesh and a final shot of Vijay shooting his shot.
The almost 3-minute trailer has various interesting threads that connects Vijay's Parthi to Harold Das (Arjun) and Antony Das (Sanjay Dutt). But when Parthi, who seems to be an owner of a chocolate factory, is wanted by the biggest crimelords because of a person who resembles him, he's pulled into a world of hurt. "Just because I look like that ruffian, everyone is torturing me. What do I do?" Parthi asks Trisha after letting out a visceral scream. "Wherever you go and hide, you know I'll come and get you," Harold's Arjun can he heard saying as Vijay unleashes his action mode on screen.
Who is Partha? And why does he look like Leo? October 19 will give us more answers. The star-studded film also co-stars Mysskin, Priya Anand, and Arjun Das, among others. The Anirudh Ravichander musical, which has already launched two singles, 'Naa Ready' and 'Badass', has been edited by Philomin Raj and lensed by Manoj Paramahamsa. The film is set for an October 19 release.
