Jailer Trailer Talk: Rajinikanth Is The Deadly Tiger Muthuvel Pandian In Nelson's Action Film

Jailer is one of the most anticipated films of the year starring Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead.

The team released the film's trailer, labelled 'showcase' to satiate the anticipation of fans. The visuals from the two-minute-long promo promises an out and out Rajinikanth show. We see the super star as a family man who is put in a tough position one day when his job gets entangled with a crime syndicate. But like Jackie Shroff's character says, 'Tiger' Muthuvel Pandian has a past that very few know about. The showcase provides a glimpse of an epic showdown between an aging police officer and the dark side and sees Rajinikanth in a never before seen stylish avatar, donning some gray in his hair. The music by Anirudh Ravichandar adds to the high stakes world of  guns and covert missions with the swaggy one liners.

The film is being written and directed by Nelson, who helmed Vijay’s Beast (2022), the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Doctor (2021) and Nayanthara's Kolamaavu Kokila (2018).

The action thriller is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures, and is expected to be a big budget spectacle. Jailer boasts of a tremendous line of supporting cast featuring big names from different industries like Mohanlal, Shivaraj Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayagan and Tamannaah Bhatia, to name some.

The song released by the film’s team,titled ‘Kaavaala’ that released almost a month ago has been a viral hit on social media.The film is set for worldwide release on the August 10.
