After Thank You and Laal Singh Chaddha, Naga Chaitanya has joined hands with Venkat Prabhu for Custody, a Telugu-Tamil bilingual. As the action entertainer is slated to hit the screens on May 12, the makers have dropped its trailer.

Naga Chaitanya plays a police officer, who handles issues in his own way, often not complying with the rules. While this irks the senior officials, Chaitanya decides to protect a criminal, played by Arvind Swamy. But on that very day, his lover, Revathi (Krithi Shetty), is forced to get married. In order to save both of them, Chaitanya helps Arvind Swamy escape the prison and the three run away. “I will present you in the court, or try and die,” Chaitanya tells as the trio face multiple obstacles. Why is he trying to save him? Will the trio safely escape? “Truth takes time to win, but it will definitely win,” Chaitanya says in the closing minutes of the video.

The trailer promises a full-on action entertainer including a few scenes that see Krithi Shetty attacking criminals to protect herself and a face-off between Naga Chaitanya and Sarathkumar. The background score by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Ilaiyaraaja and the red-tinted frames underscore the tension. While SR Kathir isc has lensed the film, Venkat Raajen has handled the editing.
