In the cool new trailer of Vijay's Beast, we get hints of a sleek thriller with an even cooler one-liner—what if a deadly spy gets locked inside a mall that's being taken over by terrorists.

Written broadly around this idea, we get glimpses of a terrific looking thriller where Vijay plays a spy who has to wrestle his way through hundreds of armed terrorists without hurting the many civilians at the mall.

Selvaraghavan, who appears to be playing a police officer, seems like the one proving strategic support from the outside. We also see a second or two of Yogi Babu and Pooja Hegde, in what looks like a fun thriller sans the serious messaging in the superstar's films. Overall, an exciting follow up to the director's mega-hit 'Doctor'.

Beast is written and directed by Doctor fame Nelson Dilipkumar. Apart from Vijay, the film stars Pooja Hedge, Aparna das, Yogi Babu, Selvaraghavan and Redin Kingsley in important roles.

The film is produced by Sun Pictures and the music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Beast releases in theatres on April 13.
