Agent Kannayiram Trailer: Santhanam's Stylish Detective Is On A Hunt For His First Big Case

Santhanam, who was last seen in the comedy entertainer Gulu Gulu (2022), is donning the detective coat for his next, Agent Kannayiram. A remake of the Telugu hit Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya (2019), the trailer, with an aspiring yet frustrated detective, promises a comedy thriller.

Santhanam plays the titular detective who always roams around with a gun, but also delivers quirky dialogues and funnily advertises his services. While he appears stylish with his Sherlock Holmes-esque coat and hat, police find his get up and activities in the crime scene suspicious, which leads to his frequent prison visits. "There are no complaints regarding the deadbodies found near the railway tracks," says Agent Kannayiram, hinting at the film's central plot.

The film co-stars Riya Suman, Pugazh, Munishkanth, Redin Kingsley and Indhumathy. Helmed by Manoj Beedha, the film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. It is slated to hit the screens on November 25.
