Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari Trailer Talk: Diljit Dosanjh Vs Manoj Bajpayee In Comedy

It's 1995 in Bombay. The affable dairy business owner Suraj Singh (Diljit Dosanjh) is looking for the kind of wife "jo mummy ko kitchen mein ghusne na de aur pati ko bedroom mein se nikalne na de (who won't let his mother enter the kitchen or let him leave the bedroom.)" Several milk puns later, his parents arrange a meeting with a potential bride, only for it to be called off when photos of him drinking in public find their way to her shocked parents. Suraj begins looking for the man who wrecked his relationship and eventually discovers it's detective Madhu Mangal Rane (Manoj Bajpayee, who gets a James Bond-style intro).

Madhu's job, which he accomplishes with a variety of disguises and hidden cameras, is to follow around men and take photos of them engaging in illicit activities, which he then sends to the women they were meant to marry. In a bid for revenge, Suraj begins dating Madhu's sister (Fatima Sana Shaikh).

Written by Rohan Shankar and directed by Abhishek Sharma, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari releases this Diwali. It's, however, unclear whether the film will release theatrically or be available on streaming.
