The teaser of Biju Menon’s Oru Thekkan Thallu Kesu has all the markings of a dramatic duel. The tw0-minute-long video suggests that the movie is set against Onathallu, a combat sport performed in Kerala around the time of Onam.
The teaser begins with a man entering a village with a mysterious bag, which immediately piques the interest of the locals (who seem to speak in a Trivandrum dialect) —’Is it the skin of a tiger, or the head of a goat,’ they ask, playing a guessing game of sorts. And the film’s mise-en-scène suggests that it is a period piece that unfolds in the early 80s. Directed by Sreejith N, the film largely revolves around the duel between Roshan Mathew and Menon, who recently bagged the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in AK: Ayyappanum Koshiyum.
The film also co-stars Padmapriya, Nimisha Sajayan, Akhil Kavalayoor, Aswath lal, Reju Sivadas and Arun pavumpa, among others.
