SSE - Side B Trailer Talk: Rakshit Shetty’s Poetry Takes A Hard Rock Turn in the Sequel

After the overwhelming success of Hemanth Rao’s Sapta Sagaraache Ello - Side A, the makers are gearing up for the second installment of the two-part romantic drama. With the release of SSE - Side B a few days away ( November 17), the team released the film’s official trailer. While some visuals from the trailer are similar to the shots we see in the epilogue of Side A, we go deeper into Rakshit Shetty’s future after his release from prison.

The trailer picks up ten years after the incidents of Side A, with Rakshit Shetty’s Manu entering the regular world after getting released from prison. We see him take up a job at a laundry place, and a new woman enters his life, Surabhi played by Chaithra J Achar. However, he still seems to be hung up on Rukmini Vasanth’s Priya, as he listens to her recorded voice on tape repeatedly.

Things seem to turn darker for Manu after a chance meeting with Priya as he goes on a rampage to exact revenge from the powers that did him wrong. Understated action sequences, with red and neon ambient lights, bring in a vibe of revenge. There are hints of Priya having a child. The last shot of the trailer sees Manu torturing someone in a smoke-filled chamber as he listens to Priya’s voice. We also hear a darker version of Charan Raj’s soothing title track.

Sapta Sagaradaache Ello - Side B is directed by Hemanth M Rao, who wrote the film along with Gundu Shetty. It is backed by Rakshit Shetty under the Paramvah Studios banner in association with KVN Productions. The film also stars Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Ramesh Indira, Achyuth Kumar, and Sharath Lohitashwa. Charan Raj composes the music while Advaitha Gurumurthy handles the cinematography. Ullas Hydur is the production designer. The film is set to release on November 17.
