We Can Be Heroes Teaser On Netflix Pits An Evil Priyanka Chopra Against A Kids-Sena

In a tight burgundy pencil skirt and matching lipstick, a white top, and a bob cut with a middle parting, Priyanka Chopra pouts, "You're just children. What are you going to do?"

It's evil but it's a caricature in a superhero movie where it is the kids that save the day- to bring back their parents who have been kidnapped by alien invaders. We Can Be Heroes is a stand-alone sequel to The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D (2005). This is an interesting choice of film to sequel given that the film wasn't a commercial success, panned by critics. This film is about the daughter of Sharkboy and Lavagirl who has both "shark and lava powers", according to Rodriguez. Lavagirl can produce fire and lava, but can't touch objects without setting them on fire. Sharkboy was raised by sharks after losing his father at sea, becoming a shark-hybrid himself. How the two conceived a child … your guess is as good as ours.

Directed by Robert Rodriguez (Mexico Trilogy, Spy Kids, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl) the film also stars Christian Slater, Pedro Pascal, Sung Kang, Boyd Holbrook, Taylor Dooley, Haley Reinhart, Andy Walken, YaYa Gosselin, Akira Akbar. It releases on Netflix on January 1.
