Godse Teaser Talk: An Anti-Corruption Vigilante Called ‘Godse’?

Godse, is an upcoming Telugu action-thriller film, starring Satya Dev and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead roles. The film is written and directed by Gopi Ganesh Pattabhi.

A teaser for the film was launched today by Chiranjeevi. First impressions suggest that Satyadev will play a vigilante who uses 'Godse' as his name and fights against powers that be. Like in an old Shankar film, his crusade is against the corrupt, especially in politics and business. His angst and anger also suggest a dark backstory where he was denied an opportunity. Aishwarya Lekshmi is playing the cop in charge of investigating the activities of this vigilante. The teaser also shows us  glimpses of all the other characters in the film. It promises a film that has as much room for an intelligent cat-and-mouse game as it does for action packed set pieces.

The film marks the debut of Aishwarya Lekshmi in Telugu cinema. She was previously seen in prominent roles in Malayalam and Tamil films such as Kaanekkaane and Jagame Thandhiram. Satya Dev was last seen in Skylab, alongside Nithya Menen and Rahul Ramakrishna. Godse also stars Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Nagababu Konidela, Sijju Menon, Varghese, Prudhvi Raj, Noel Sean, Priyadarshi, Chaitanya Krishna, Pawan Santhosh and Guru Charan.

The film is Satya Dev and Gopi Ganesh Pattabhi's second collaboration after the latter's debut film, Bluff Master. The cinematographer is Suresh S and the film is also editor Sagar Undagandla's debut. Sunil Kashyap, who has previously worked on Telugu films like Romantic and Maro Prasthanam, is roped in as the music composer. Brahma Kadali, the art director for films like Vivaha Bhojanambu, Naandhi and upcoming Bangarraju is also working on Godse.

The film is produced by C. Kalyan under the banner of CK Screens.
