The 52 second video gives us a glimpse into Venkatesh Daggubati's adaptation of the role previously played by Mohanlal. The teaser says "Reality is stranger than fiction but the truth is unbelievable". The film is set six-years after the initial incidents of Drushyam. Rambabu (Venkatesh Daggubati) asks the police not to pull his family back into those dark memories and the teaser further builds suspense. The police are more determined to not let him go this time. The teaser ends with Rambabu assuring his family that many such problems have come and gone and that this too shall pass.
The film also stars Meena, Nadhiya, Esther Anil, Kruthika Jayakumar and Naresh continuing their roles from the first film of the franchise. Two new roles in this film are played by Sampath Raj and Poorna.
Satheesh Kurup, who also shot the Malayalam version, has been roped in for cinematography and Marthand K Ventakesh is the editor of the film, same as the first film. The direction and writing department is given a changeover with Jeethu Joseph taking over the reins. Anup Rubens, whose most recent release was Manchi Rojulochaie, is in charge of music. The film is jointly produced under the banners of Suresh Productions, Aashirvad Cinemas and Max Movies.
The film is set to stream on Amazon Prime Video from November 25.
