The trailer of Collar Bomb, a crime thriller starring Jimmy Sheirgill is out. The film promises to be an edge-of-the-seat suspense thriller, where the truth of an ongoing, horrifying crime lies within the past of supercop Manoj Hesi (Sheirgill).
The trailer starts with a voiceover, which ominously talks about Muhammad bin Tughluq, the sultan of Delhi who was infamous for his dictatorship, and how one decision of his led to the loss of several lives. The stills that follow comprise a picture of Manoj Hesi, the town's supercop, suggesting a similar situation.
The story revolves around a suicide bomber who enters St. George's one of the most well-known schools in the picturesque town of Mussoorie. It's a race against time thereafter for Hesi and his team of cops as they try to save the lives of several children, who now find themselves stuck in a helpless, terrifying situation
Amidst it all is a tumultuous past Hesi is still battling with; a past he has hidden from his townspeople until now. Some dialogue exchanges throughout the two-minute trailer suggest that this secret may somehow be connected to the happenings that are currently taking place. The truth unfolds as Hesi is forced to commit a number of heinous crimes to protect the children, and to prevent the bomb from exploding. What is Hesi hiding? Will he be able to save the lives at stake? And more importantly, is he the hero or the villian?
The crime thriller, directed by Dyanesh Zoting, stars Sheirgill, Asha Negi, Rajshri Deshpande and Sparsh Srivastav, and is produced by Yodlee Films and 3 Earth Entertainment. It streams on DisneyPlus Hotstar, July 9 onwards.
