Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein On Netflix Trailer Talk: A Love Triangle Scored To Remixed Nostalgia

Vikrant (Tahir Bhasin) is caught between Shikha (Shweta Tripathi), "a woman who loves him" and Purva (Anchal Singh), "a woman who desires him". Purva is the daughter of a powerful politician, and so this triangle is dotted with the amplitude of gunshots and threats of destruction. 

The trailer is scored to a remixed version of "Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen" (from Baazigar). The director Sidharth Sengupta noted "The title [is] inspired by the iconic '90s hit song from a film of the same genre… an ode to all the pulpy thrillers of those times." The show also stars Saurabh Shukla, Surya Sharma, Brijendra Kala, Arunoday Singh, Anant Joshi, Sunita Rajwar, and Hetal Gada. 

Produced by Edgestorm Ventures Pvt Ltd, Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein is written by Sidharth Sengupta, Anahata Menon, Varun Badola, and created and directed by Sidharth Sengupta (Balika Vadhu, Apharan). It premieres on Netflix on January 14th.
