Trailer Talk: Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar Gets A New Release Date And A New Trailer

The second trailer of Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar comes exactly one year after the first. The film was first announced in 2017, with a release date of 3rd August, 2018. Shooting wrapped in January 2018. In May, the release date was pushed to March 2019. The film was delayed by another year, before posters and a trailer were released in early 2020, with a 20th March release date. With the announcement of the lockdown in mid-March, the film was delayed yet again. Now, Yash Raj Films have announced that the film will be out in cinemas on March 19th.

The second trailer is shorter than the first and doesn't give as much information about the plot. We see Sandeep Kaur (Parineeti Chopra), a white-collar worker, and Pinky Dahiya (Arjun Kapoor), a cop, on the run and trying to cross the border to leave the country. Pinky tells Sandeep that someone is after her, and that they will kill him too. But later, we see Pinky being instructed by his superior to 'maar, yaar, maar de, khatam kar'. Sandeep and Pinky are obviously in a big mess; as Pinky says, 'Saaf tauliye, garam paani kay din gaye, madam.'

The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta. The music is by Anu Malik, but director Dibakar Banerjee (who has also co-written the script with Varun Grover) provides the background score.
