Made In Heaven Trailer Talk: Zoya Akhtar And Reema Kagti Give Us A Glimpse Into Into The Scandalous Lives Of The Rich And Restless

For all those giddy in the hype of this week's big release Gully Boy, here's another little something from the minds of Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti to be excited about. One of Prime Video's most anticipated original shows, Made In Heaven, has finally dropped its trailer.

Created by Akhtar and Kagti, the show appears to follow a wedding planning agency led by the underrated Arjun Mathur and Sobhita Dhulipala. Through them and their clients, the trailer suggests both a comical commentary on the big Indian wedding, as well as an opportunity to 'witness the scandalous reality' of the rich and fancy. 'Just crazy rich people getting married', the trailer signs off with. All in all, a great premise for a web series.

Among the most encouraging aspects of India's web series space so far are the great ensemble casts, which both put the spotlight on actors who haven't got their due as well as exciting new finds, and it would appear Made In Heaven is no exception. We get glimpses of a fantastic wider cast which includes Jim Sarbh, Kalki Koechlin, Titli's Shashank Arora and Shivani Raghuvanshi, Shweta Tripathi, Neena Gupta, a surprising Pulkit Samrat, Fukrey's Manjot Singh, Vinay Pathak and Vijay Raaz among others.

The trailer's closing credits include Nitya Mehra, Alankrita Srivastava and Umrika's Prashant Nair – presumably the directors. The show adds to Excel Entertainment's growing roster of web originals as they seem to be the leading producer of Prime Video's tentpole shows with Inside Edge, Mirzapur and now this.
