The widely-acclaimed Kota Factory is returning soon, if the Netflix teaser of its second season is any indication.
Starring Jitendra Kumar, Mayur More, Ranjan Raj, Alam Khan, Ahsaas Channa, Revathi Pillai and Urvi Singh, the TVF series is a deep dive into the lives of several students studying at Kota – the hub of coaching centers for students preparing for entrance examinations. In the middle of this equation is Prodigy Classes, a coaching institute that the series is set at.
However, something seems amiss, as the students seem worried about their missing Physics professor – Jeetu Bhaiya (Kumar). They are informed that he is no longer a part of the institute. In the absence of his mentor, young Vaibhav (More) starts questioning whether he still wants to go to IIT, an entire year after he first began preparing for what he thought was 'the dream'. He looks at a half-hanging poster of Jeetu bhaiya on a billboard outside, which reads: 'Physics Mastermind'. This perhaps implies that he's left Prodigy to start his own coaching centre. His voice echoes in the background, asking his students to replace the word 'dream' with 'aim' – something that is meant to be achieved.
There are also hints of Vaibhav experiencing first love. His desire to gain admission to IIT returns yet again towards the end of the teaser.
Kota Factory Season 2, directed by Raghav Subbu and produced by TVF and Arunabh Kumar, will stream on Netflix from September 24.
