Kabir Singh Trailer Talk: Shahid Kapoor Goes Down A Path Of Self-Destruction

T-Series has released the full trailer of Shahid Kapoor-starrer Kabir Singh.

This Hindi remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy from the same director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, follows the story of a talented medical student's path to self-destruction and substance abuse after losing his girlfriend (played by Kiara Advani). Like the original, the trailer gives us glimpses of the same aggressive, tortured soul and his escapades with abuse, violence, booze, and drugs.

It appears that Vanga has opted for a rather faithful remake. We see many of the same celebrated scenes and images from Arjun Reddy such as Kabir stuffing ice down his trousers, and his fight on the football field. It remains to be seen to what extent the director has adapted the original story.

Kabir Singh is slated for June 21 release. You can watch the trailer below:
