Kaali Khuhi On Netflix Trailer Talk: The Ghosts Of Female Infanticide Haunt This Shabana Azmi Horror Film

It's not often that the burden of heroism falls on a 10 year old. In Kaali Khuhi (black well), we find ourselves in a village in Punjab that is lit alternatively  in darkness and twilight. A 10 year old girl, Shivangi (Riva Arora) is pushed to uncover the ghosts that pepper the village, haunted themselves by prejudice and female infanticide. 

The mysterious mileu with rapid cuts establishes what Shabana Azmi, Shivangi's aunt, articulates, "The curse is back".

Directed by Terrie Samundra and starring Shabana Azmi, Satyadeep Misra, Leela Samson, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Riva Arora, the film releases on Netflix on October 30, the day before Halloween.
