Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi Trailer Talk: Starring Sonakshi Sinha, Jimmy Shergill And Fluent Hindi-Speaking Chinese People

The trailer of Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, which looks like a completely unnecessary sequel to Happy Bhag Jayegi, is full of comedy of errors. One is of mistaken identities–Sonakshi Sinha is mistaken as Diana Penty's Happy and Jassie Gill as Ali Fazal's Guddu, the runaway couple from the first film.

There's comedy from miscommunication between the Sardars and the Chinese–a large part of the film seems to be set in China.

And there are misunderstandings that arise from the different connotations and context of the word 'happy'. The trailer opens with Sinha trying to prove that she is not the 'Happy' they are looking for. In another scene, when Piyush Mishra's character says that Sinha isn't 'happy', she snaps at him clarifying that she is happy (as in she isn't sad).

Among other absurdities include Jimmy Shergill making meta-jokes about his surname, and Chinese men speaking better Hindi than Katrina Kaif.

The film is directed and written by Mudassar Aziz, and produced by Aanand L Rai & Krishika Lulla. It will release on 24 August.
