Bheemla Nayak Trailer Talk: Meaner, Massier, Punchier

Just two days before its release on the 25th of February, during the pre-release event on Wednesday, the team behind Bheemla Nayak released a second trailer. The new trailer, aided by a booming score by S Thamman, is meaner, massier and punchier and it hardly resembles the Malayalam original it was inspired from.

Even the title of the original Ayyapanum Koshiyum clearly suggests that the film is about two people Ayyapan and Koshiy. But as is evident from the "in and as" before the title Bheemla Nayak, it's clear that Pawan Kalyan perhaps gets the lion's share of the ego clash.

The new trailer continues with its ultra rustic tone fitting its village setting and Thamman's beat-heavy score compliments the terrain of the film too. We also understand that Nithya Menen is playing Bheemla Nayak's wife (she gets the best line in the trailer) with Samuthirakani reprising Ranjith's role as Rana Dagubatti's  unwavering patriarch.  The earlier trailer worked better as an introduction to the two main characters with a focus on Rana's Daniel Shekhar.

Directed by Saagar K Chandra, the film's screenplay gets several tweaks written by superhit director Trivikram Srinivas.

Earlier, when writing about most awaited Telugu films of the year, we had written, "Ayyappanum Koshiyum, starring Prithviraj and Biju Menon, revolves around the ego clash between an upright police officer and a retired havildar. Its Telugu remake, Bheemla Nayak, stars Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati in major roles, with Nithya Menen, Samyuktha Menon and Samuthirakani in the other roles. With enough changes being made for the Telugu audience, this action-packed drama could be the perfect crossover."

Here's the other trailer:

The film releases in theatres on February 25.
