Bachelor Trailer Talk: A Lover Boy And A Case Of Domestic Violence

Makers of the upcoming Tamil film, Bachelor, directed by Satish Selvakumar, have released a trailer today. It stars GV Prakash Kumar and Divya Bharathi in lead roles.

The trailer starts by saying "Lust has become more dominant than love" and goes on to introduce the lead couple. GV Prakash's character is shown as a sex-obsessed man who woos Divya to be with him. As a montage of scenes appear where it seems like he is stalking her, the dialogue in the background can be heard where he asks her if she was a psychopath and did he really deceive her by saying that he loved her? A heartbroken woman can be heard saying she must have been one to be blind to his antics. The trailer takes a turn when we hear a Domestic Violence case being discussed in a police station.

A previous teaser for the film showed GV Prakash Kumar's character in a quick montage sequence as a 'party boy' trying to woo Divya Bharathi. He picked fights and street brawls, talked about being in a live-in relationship for six months. A promotional video called the film a "Powerful Relationship Drama."

The film also released two romantic songs earlier – 'Adiye' and 'Kaadhal Kanmani'. 'Adiye' is composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas, sung by Kapil Kapilan and penned by GKB. 'Kaadhal Kanmani' is composed and sung by GV Prakash Kumar along with vocalist Swagatha S Krishnan and is written by Nithish.

Bachelor marks the debut of both the director, Satish Selvakumar and the female lead, Divya Bharathi. GV Prakash Kumar was last seen in the romantic comedy, Vanakkam Da Mappilei and last composed music for the biopic Thalaivii.

Apart from being the main lead, the film is also a GV Prakash musical. Cinematography is being handled by Theni Eswar and San Lokesh is roped in as the editor. It is produced by G Dilli Babu, under the banner of Axess Film Factory.

Bachelor is scheduled to release in theaters on December 3.
