The short, lean trailer of Aishwarya Lekshmi's Archana 31 Not Out reveals little in terms of plot or story but it gives the hint of a light-hearted comedy about a woman who has to face the pressures of getting married.
It is about a 28-year-old teacher who just doesn't seem too lucky in the marriage department. Archana hails from a small village and prospective grooms do not seem to want to marry her because of the town's remote location, her age and perhaps even dowry. We get little more in the trailer which also stars Indran and Ramesh Pisharody. A lot of the trailer is also set inside one wedding venue, even though it's unclear if it's Archana's own wedding or someone else's. Is marriage really important for an independent woman? This could be one of the topics the film addresses.

The comedy drama is said to be about a 28-year-old school teacher who has had no luck finding a groom, despite 31* marriage proposals that have her way.
Archana 31 Not Out is being directed by Akhil Anilkumar, who had earlier made one of the five shorts that make up the anthology Freedom Fight, which co-incidentally releases on the same day on SonyLIV. Archana's producers are Martin Prakkat, Sibi Chavara and Renjith Nair. Joel Joji is the film's cinematographer with music by Mathan and Rajan Prakash.
