The trailer of Ponmagal Vandhal, the first major film to release directly to OTT is here and the first impressions are very promising. Before the plot is revealed, we learn that the film doesn't just come under 2D Productions banner. It's also called a Jyotika Suriya Production, hinting that Jyotika always comes first with reference to this film.
The one-and-a-half minute trailer begins with the sound of a mother shouting, followed by a gunshot. Set in 2004 in an eerie Ooty, the case in question begins with children being kidnapped and murdered. Given the number of murders (five) that's being repeated, it doesn't seem one with an obvious motives. It seems to be the work of a serial killer.
After last year's Nerkonda Paarvai, here's another courtroom drama that comes along with a lot of excitement. But it doesn't just look like a movie where she's helping the victims. Perhaps, there's a hint that she could be fighting for a person who has been wrongfully accused in this crime. Either ways, it looks like there's more than enough for a fun thriller.
Here's the trailer:
Directed by JJ Fredrick, the film will release on Amazon Prime Video on the 29th of May.
