Streaming platforms are notorious for their lack of transparency, allowing them to quote numbers that are tough to verify. Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, has began tracking viewership figures of the top releases across major platforms.

Here's a list of the most-viewed shows and movies from the Indian streaming space during the week of June 14th, 2021 – June 20th, 2021. The numbers are all estimates based only within India. This list does not include any streaming released from the South.

2) Shaadisthan – Disney+Hotstar

Views (million): 3.7

Starring Kirti Kulhari this film is about a road-trip where a conservative family want to get their 17-year old daughter married.

3) Sherni – Amazon Prime Video

Views (million): 3.1

Vidya Balan plays Vidya Vincent a forest officer who is trying to capture a tiger that has been causing havoc and death among villagers. However, the cobwebbed bureaucracy and toxic politics come in the way of her duty.

4) Sunflower – Zee5

Views (million): 2.9

A murder-investigative quirk-comedy around an apartment complex in Mumbai, this is an 8-part show starring Sunil Grover as the prime suspect and Ranvir Shorey as the investigating officer.

5) Broken But Beautiful – ALT Balaji and MX Player

Views (million): 1.9

Sidharth Shukla and Sonia Rathee star in the third season of Broken But Beautiful about wounded lovers looking for closure and catharsis. The show that released on ALT Balaji a few weeks ago, also dropped on MX Player last week.
