In the age of Coronavirus quarantines, lockdowns and self-isolation, many more of us are relying on streaming platforms in search of distraction, escape and just plain entertainment. Luckily June certainly doesn't look to disappoint with an exciting new set of streaming releases offering a wide range of stories. From a new Netflix original film from Anurag Kashyap, to Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo to the Spike Lee's streaming debut, here are our picks of what's releasing this month across platforms.

Netflix

Fuller House: The Farewell Season 

When: June 2nd

The reboot of the beloved show comes to an end with its final season as the Tanner gang come back together for one last hurrah. When Jimmy and Steph bring their new baby home, they dive headfirst into the world of parenting. Luckily, they've got a houseful of hands to help.

Spelling The Dream

After directing two shorts and a series, it was only a matter of time before Anurag Kashyap made his feature film debut on Netflix. His latest stars Saiyami Kher and Roshan Mathew in a story about a bank employee weighed down by her jobless husband's debts who finds a secret source of seemingly unlimited cash in her home.

13 Reasons Why: Final Season

When: June 5th

The final season of the hit teen drama sees Liberty High School's Senior Class prepare for graduation. But before they can say goodbye, the crew of friends will have to band together one last time to keep a dangerous secret buried  and face final, heartbreaking choices that might alter their lives forever.

F Is For Family Season 4

When: June 12th 

Bill Burr's animated adult comedy is back for more dysfunction and laughs. While Frank deals with an unwelcome visit from his estranged father, Sue pursues New Age pregnancy support, and the Murphy kids try out new personas.

The Politician Season 2

When: June 19th 

Ryan Murphy's dark comedy series on the state of modern politics returns to further the story of Payton Hobart (Ben Platt), a wealthy student from Santa Barbara, California, who has known since age seven that he's going to be the president of the United States. But first he'll have to navigate the most treacherous political landscape of all — high school.

Lost Bullet

When: June 19th 

A French thriller from director Guillaume Pierret which follows a mechanical wiz is mistakenly charged with murder. The only proof of his innocence is a bullet lodged in a missing car.

Dark Season 3

When: June 27th 

One of Netflix's most beloved international hits, the twisty German sci-fi thriller returns for its third season. The final cycle is about to begin, but will the loop finally be broken? Find out on June 27th.

El Presidente

When: June 5th 

It appears Amazon Prime Video is looking to emulate Netflix's focus on global content with El Presidente – a Spanish true crime drama series that explores the real-life conspiracy underlying the beginning of the 2015 FIFA Gate corruption scandal.

Gine Brillon: The Floor Is Lava

When: June 5th 

Comedian Gina Brillon brings the laugh in her new special which sees her commenting on racism, dating, married life and beyond.

The first major Bollywood film to get a direct to digital release comes from the celebrated storytelling duo of Shoojit Sircar and Juhi Chaturvedi. The film is a quirky comedy which sees Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan as a tenant and landlord constantly at loggerheads with each other.

LOL: Last One Laughing Australia: Season 1

When: June 19th

We've all loved watching Australians get their master-chef on, now watch them make us laugh in this competitive comedy reality show – hosted by the inimitable Rebel Wilson – which follows ten professional comedians locked together in a house tasked with making all of the other comedians laugh while keeping a straight face themselves.

When: June 19th

The latest Amazon Indian Original series stars Swara Bhaskar as an English teacher whose life gets difficult after one of her students falls in love with her.

Penguin

When: June 19th

From producer Karthik Subbaraj comes a Tamil film starring Keerthy Suresh (Mahanati). It is the next big film to go to direct to streaming. Rumoured to be a thriller, not much is known about the film thus far aside from the exciting names attached.

Bad Boys For Life

When: June 21st

The highly anticipated third instalment of the action franchise starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence finally makes its way to the small screen. 17 years on, Mike and Marcus are back for more ass-kicking, shootouts and car chases.

Law 

When: June 26th 

Written and directed by Raghu Samarth, the direct to digital Kannada release stars Ragini Chandran, Siri Prahlad and Mukhyamantri Chandru.

Motherless Brooklyn

When: June 26th

Edward Norton turns writer and director in a movie about a lonely private detective living with Tourette Syndrome who ventures to solve the murder of his mentor and only friend, Frank Minna (Bruce Willis).

Jojo Rabbit

When: June 2nd

Acclaimed writer-director Taika Waititi brings his signature humour and pathos to Jojo Rabbit, a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy and his imaginary best friend – Hitler – whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother is hiding a young Jewish girl in their attic.

Terminator: Dark Fate

When: June 16th

The latest attempt to reboot the Terminator franchise comes from Deadpool director Tim Miller and sees the original cast reunite. Decades after Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, a lethal new Terminator is sent to eliminate the future leader of the resistance.

Ford Vs Ferrari

Academy Award Winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in exhilarating true story of visionary American car designer Carroll Shelby (Damon) and fearless British-born driver Ken Miles (Bale), who together built a revolutionary race car for the Ford Motor Company to take on the dominating Enzo Ferrari in 1966.

I'll Be Gone In The Dark

When: June 29th 

A six-part documentary series based on the book of the same name, I'll Be Gone In The Dark explores writer Michelle McNamara's (the late wife of comedian Patton Oswalt) investigation into the violent predator she dubbed "The Golden State Killer", who terrorised California in the 70s and 80s and is responsible for 50 home-invasion rapes and 12 murders.

Never Kiss Your Best Friend – Lockdown Special
