We’ve Seen Enough Movies To Know We Will All Live Happily Ever After: Letter From The Editor

Dear FC community,

These are strange, scary and isolating times, which is why I thought of reaching out to all of you.

In the last five years, we've grown together.  It's been a joy to create content – in text and video – for you.  We take great pride in bringing you high quality reviews, interviews, features, listicles and more.

And we will continue to do it.  Nothing prepared us for the Covid-19 pandemic but we are adapting quickly to the new normal.  We are consistently creating new content for both our YouTube channel and our website.  Of course the videos don't have the same production quality but we are working within the given constraints to bring you content that is informative, engaging and adds value to your life at this challenging time.

My colleague Baradwaj Rangan jokingly asked on a video call that since there are no new film releases, should we change our name to OTT Companion?  It does have a certain ring to it. But the film in Film Companion was never a restriction for us. We cover everything that is exciting in entertainment and will continue to do so.

The current crisis has only strengthened our resolve to do better work.  Because we cannot allow a villainous virus to triumph.  We've seen enough movies to know that we will all live happily ever after.
