Yodha Actress Raashii Khanna: ‘I am very happy that I am coming back to Hindi films’

Raashii Khanna is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Yodha also starring Sidharth Malhotra and Disha Patani. During a recently held press conference, Khanna was asked about her real-life Yodha. In response, the actress said, "My mother, my father and my brother are my Yodhas. I think whatever I have achieved, wherever I am today, all of it has been possible because of the support I received from my parents and my brother. My brother has pushed me even when I wasn’t very confident about myself. He always pushed me to do better, would keep telling me ‘You’re better than this’."

The actress added how people's expectations of her have been exceeded after Farzi. "People saw me as an actor but I got respect as a performer after Farzi. People’s expectations have been exceeded by me. I don’t think they’ll want me to be in a film just for the sake of it," she shared and added how "there are a lot of layers" to her character in Yodha. "I am very happy that I am coming back [to Hindi films] with Yodha. I am very excited for people to watch the film," she further added.

Yodha is directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha. The film is produced by Karan Johar and releases in theatres on March 15. Apart from Yodha, Khanna will be seen in The Sabarmati Report and TME, which stars Vikrant Massey. She also has the Tamil film Aranmanai 4 and the Telugu film Telusu Kada lined up for release.
