Varun Sharma talks about becoming Choocha again for Fukrey 3

Varun Sharma is set to reprise his role as Choocha for Fukrey 3. Sharma made his film debut with the character which went on to become the most iconic roles over the years. He said, “People think revisiting a character is easy, but Choocha was the first character I played on screen. I was raw and could easily pick up the nuances. Fukrey 3 aate aate I have had a lot of experience as an actor, with so much grooming and learning over all the films I did. Now, it is tough to unlearn the years of experience and get back into that character. As much as it is tough to learn new things, it is tougher to unlearn old things.”

Praising Fukrey 3 director Mrighdeep Lamba, Sharma said, “He polished me in a genre which was new for me. For bringing out the Choocha in me, the entire credit goes to Mrigdeep. It is because of this beautiful film that the audience and the trade could see this new talent. After Fukrey, a lot of comedy films came to me.”

Fukrey 3 also stars Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadha, Pankaj Tripathi, and Manjot Singh. It releases in theatres on December 1.
