Actor Vardhan Puri has begun shooting for his upcoming romantic thriller Bloody Ishq alongside Avika Gor. The film is directed by Vikram Bhatt and written by Mahesh Bhatt.

The film recently went on floors and the release date is yet to be announced. Talking about the film Puri said, “I am blessed to be working with such terrific filmmakers. I loved the script due to the fine balance it holds between commercialism and realism and I was sold completely during the first narration itself."

“A fabulous thing about my experience on this film until now has been the fact that Mahesh Bhatt sahab is on our sets spending so much time with us. He is so passionate about cinema and his understanding of the medium is so deep. He directs us often and gives the most wonderful notes and instructions to us artists, taking the film to another level altogether,” the actor continued.

"Being directed by Vikram sir’s experienced mind is like going to acting school every day. He’s a hyper creative cinephile, obsessed with his craft. What I love most about him is his kind and loving nature which makes one feel safe and secure on set. He is so loving with his artists that they want to give him their 500%," Puri concluded.

A few days ago Gor had expressed her excitement about working on the project, she said, “I am thrilled about my second project with the Bhatts. Mahesh Ji is handling the writing, and Vikram Ji is directing this time. After our previous collaboration on 1920 with Krishna Bhatt directing it, working with Vikram Bhatt is even more exciting. I am eager to learn from his extensive experience in filmmaking. Joining forces with such seasoned professionals fulfills a bucket list dream. The story and the entire filmmaking process are incredibly intriguing, making it an easy decision to say yes. While I can’t disclose much about my character as of now, the overall experience has been amazing. I feel like part of the family and am blessed to work with people I truly admire day and night.”

Meanwhile, Puri who was last seen in Yeh Saali Aashiqui (2019), Aseq (2023) will also be seen in his upcoming projects, Dashmi and Gulab.
