Twilight Reboot in the Making, this time as an Animated Series

Stephenie Meyer, the original author of the bestselling book series is said to be involved in the adaptation of the Twilight reboot TV series which was announced by Lionsgate in 2023.The live-action remake will now be made into an animated series.

During a Q&A at the Morgan Stanley media conference, Lionsgate’s Vice Chairman Michael Burns revealed that the Twilight series would be presented as an animated series, “We’re going to go out with the Twilight series, an animated series, I think there’ll be a lot of interest in that,” mentioned Burns.

Writer Sinead Daly who has been assigned to the project will either remake the series or there will be a spin off. Meyer, the original author, is reportedly involved in the adaptation, along with Wyck Godfrey and former Lionsgate Motion Picture Group co-president Erik Feig, who acquired the book rights during his tenure at Summit Entertainment.

The Twilight films, starting with the 2008 release directed by Catherine Hardwicke, was known as The Twilight Saga. The franchise consists of five movies—New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn – Part 1, and Breaking Dawn – Part 2.
