Trisha Krishnan officially joined the sets of Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara today. The pair was last seen in Muragadoss’s Stalin (2006). Trisha was also confirmed to play the lead role in Acharya (2022) but later chose to opt out of the film, stating creative differences. After 18 years, this pair will be seen together for director Vassishta’s fantasy adventure. This will also mark Trisha’s return to the Telugu film industry after 2015’s Lion starring Balakrishna.

Vishwambhara is produced by Vikram, Vamsi, and Pramod under the banner of UV Creations. It promises to be a big fantasy adventure which will be Chiranjeevi's most expensive film to date. Featuring music and lyrics by Oscar winners MM Keeravani and Chandrabose, respectively, the project will be based on a screenplay by Sai Madhav Burra. Chota K Naidu will serve as the cinematographer, Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao will handle the editing, and AS Prakash will be in charge of the production design for this epic fantasy. Currently in production, the film is scheduled to hit theatres on January 10, 2025, as Chiranjeevi's Sankranti release.
