Khalnayak (1993), starring Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, and Jackie Shroff in the lead roles, completed 30 years of its release on August 6 this year. To celebrate this milestone, Radio Nasha organised a special event in Mumbai on September 4. Director Subhash Ghai, Dutt, Shroff, singers Alka Yagnik and Ila Arun and other members of the cast and crew attended the event. They cut a cake, participated in a chat session and enjoyed a screening of the film along with fans who had gathered for the celebration. 

To celebrate 30 years of the film’s release, Khalnayak will be screened in 30 theatres across India on September 5. Ghai shared a post on his Instagram page announcing the details of which theatres will be screening the film in Mumbai and other locations in the country.

Ghai added a caption to his post where he wrote, “SPECIAL SCREENING IN 30 THEATRES TODAY. After a star-studded premiere last eve to celebrate 30 years of KHALNAYAK with a grand reception by audience in Inox theatre Malad Mumbai.. Now Mukta arts is showing this iconic film in 30 theatres today which is altogether a different experience on big screen Let’s not miss it today"

Khalnayak starred Dutt as a Ballu, a criminal on the run and Dixit and Shroff as police officers Ganga and Ram who are trying to arrest him. The film was directed by Ghai.
